Brookside Cottage

More "rustic" than the description had led us to expect. The property needs work. For instance, only 2 of the 4 burners on the stove were operable, the toaster was falling apart, and a notable fire hazard, and on the deck there were many nails sticking up above the wood surface of the deck (and a couple loose boards). The latter issue caused us to limit letting our two grandkids on the deck.We'd recommend the kitchen provide a cutting board of some type and more teaspoons (there were only 2), especially if kids will be staying here.

Great place, big house surrounded by trees, excellent opportunity to take our meals on the terrace. Very very pleasant stay!

It was a great stay, super clean and communication was easy with the hosts. Super close to everything in the park as well.

The location of this place is nice. It's much better to be starting from inside the park every morning. I wouldn't want to stay any farther away from the valley. This place fits ten people but we only had four people so didn't take advantage of that. The WiFi worked great so that was much appreciated. We did have a short power outage in the neighborhood but only a couple hours. I was concerned about no air conditioner in June but the weather was perfect and it wasn't needed. We actually used the heater at night so that worked out great. I have one complaint that I want to share with everyone. We had four people for four nights and they only supplied six towels total. There is no washer/dryer in the place. I emailed and they first responded by saying that is the standard amount, then thirty minutes later they emailed again saying they could drop more off if needed so I asked them to please do that. They only dropped off two additional towels. We take two showers a day so had to reuse same towel four times.

Good, clean property for big family of 10.Plenty of sleeping space, 3 bathrooms is a plus. Everything is in good clean condition.Kitchen has everything you need for cooking
