This was an ideal place to stay for our Yosemite trip. The Cozy Bear was quiet, had everything we needed, and there was plenty of room for 4 people. The communication throughout the entire process was excellent. I would recommend the Cozy Bear for your Yosemite trip.

Management severely limits their willingness to address your needs or experience.
The property management is rigid regarding rules. In an earlier review on another platform, another renter found them difficult in terms of rigidity. My next door neighbor on the other side of the duplex did too. The management is extremely rule bound. If you were to have a person enter your rental to use the bathroom, I was told by Carl, the owner of Acorn Vacation Properties, that that would automatically incur daily fees amounting to $100s for the length of your stay. This is if someone extra should possibly step into the space. So watch out if a neighbor might walk in. Carl was very clear about this.
If you come in winter, there needs to be a warning that the driveway could be completely inaccessible during your stay except with a 4 wheel drive vehicle, given the steep incline. You may not be able to get anywhere near the house.
I spent about 20 hours of labor, across 2-3 days, shoveling the ice and compacted snow on the driveway, some 50 or 75 yards long. It was impossible to drive up it after a big snow fall. They did not clear the snow behind my car, as was the agreement, well after the storm. There were 6 inches of compacted snow and ice, many feet long, behind the car that needed to be hand shoveled. Other rental property management companies nearby cleared their driveways, removing the ice and compacted snow, and making the unit accessible. I myself moved hundreds of pounds of snow and ice to get out of there, and to be able to drive back up the driveway at the end of the day. I had cables on all wheels but that was not enough and manual shoveling was necessary. Other renters of the duplex had to park down the hill too, 50-75 yards away, because of the slippery slope.
I hoped to have my labor and inconvenience recognized take into account on some level, as my work played a big part in making that house accessible, for myself and others, and got no response. That would have made a difference.
It’s two rental units in a duplex that is very nice in many ways, but the management severely limits their willingness to address your needs or experience.

Perfect to stay and explore the park.
Positive: Great location near Yosemite. Easy check in. House had everything we needed. Located in a quiet neighborhood. The big treat was the fireplace!
Negative: steep driveway if it snows. Chains may be needed.
